Last night, I presented a lecture about multimedia design to a group of art students and their parents at Mount Olive High School, and before I started I asked who in the room had ever built a website. After a brief pause, where no hands were to be seen, the youngest kid in the room – most likely the younger sibling of one of the students – slowly raised his hand. In a room full of high school art students, only one person (who hadn’t even entered high school) had ever attempted to build a website! I can’t wait to see what this new younger generation of web designers will accomplish.
